The Lexicon is set to make a huge difference to both the image and the reality of all of Bracknell town centre.

And there are many unsung facets to Regeneration.

So it’s timely to have this get-together and confab - a sort of chat over the back fence.

The purpose is to air and share not just what’s heading in but identify and examine any concerns about possible impacts on individual, family and community life – and get different perspectives through a variety of eyes and voices.

NB Places are limited, and you’re advised to book well in advance - only by e-mailing the Co-ordinator Hugh Gibbons.

Attenders will be offered the chance to submit questions in advance for the speakers to address.

PROGRAMME FOR LEXICONFAB EVENING

7pm Fairtrade cuppas

7.30pm WELCOMES

led by Hugh Gibbons, Community Gallery Co-ordinator

BRAINWARMING
to get you in a friendly frame of mind, a sort of quiz -
and you get asked some questions well beforehand...

NEW MENTAL MAPS
A briefing on the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership plans and progress, by Simon Russian,  Development Manager for Legal & General.

At the heart of what's happening, Simon is perfectly placed to share an update on what's going on as the Lexicon gets ready to hit town. He also brings the experience of working with the Council, the retailers, local communities and other stakeholders in the Regeneration Project. So he's be able to field questions from the audience, and perhaps give a glimpse of highlights ahead - and some headaches.

It's planned to have the viewpoints of Bracknell Town and Forest Councils about the impacts on local social and healthcare provision.

TALES FROM THE TRENCHES

Experiences and lessons from keeping calm and carrying on - from some living and working next to the pile drivers…

COMMUNITY IMPACTS
Led by Rev Jim Barlow, Mission Priest, Bracknell Team Ministry

What sort of effects might the Lexicon and other aspects of Regeneration have on individuals and local communities - including churches and other faith groups?

A fairly recent arrival, Jim has been bringing a fresh eye and insightful mind on many facets of life in Bracknell - offering a great contribution for any audience to share.

9.30pmish CONCLUSIONS

PS Some of the material from the evening may find its way on to this website.
