Speak out to the eyes
of everyone passing the outside of schools and churches |

Dress the outside of your school and local Fairtrade church with banners or bunting - to show all those passers-by that your communities have values that you're proud of Not all schools and churches are next door to each - but a team sent along

![]() The cloth banner shown here was hand-made at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School in South Ascot, and pinned up by the school gate. For many weeks, it was there to catch the eye of visitors and passers-by. NB Head teacher Jan going bananas. ![]() The banner was supplemented with ready-made 10-metre lengths of Fairtrade bunting - strung along the school fence and on to the outside of the church next door.

![]() At St Francis Primary, every one of the 200+ pupils created their own personal design on triangles of cotton - including their own messages for all to read.

![]() The bunting stayed up for four weeks - until Easter. Parishioners in the pews were able to admire the children’s handiwork close-up, and even stooped their heads in respect... Since being taken down, the bunting has been stored as a memento of the happy work of the whole school. |
